Months after making his DJBooth debut with the Ryan Macgowan-produced Exhale, Cincy spitter Olu has returned to our pages and he’s brought with him glorious gifts of Gold. Now before you get on the phone with the folks over at Cash 4 Gold, I should probably tell you that the Gold I’m referring to is of the audio variety. Before morphing into a bass-laced banger, Gold initially kicks off on a smooth note thanks to the production of Laisaun and a hypnotizing, vintage-like hook, which resurfaces later in the song. Unsurprisingly, the Ohio rhymedropper is on a mission to get both the gold and the green as he spits, “I work hard cause I want it all and money keep me focused.” Along with getting a fresh start on things with the start of the new year you can also look forward to the release of Olu’s Educated Fool album, which is due out on January 15, 2013.

I like the boom-bass in the beat by Laisaun (Sick SAMPLE too on the chorus). Olu was just OK lyrically on this one IMO...

Olu's career arrow is pointed in the right direction. I don't know what to make of him yet, but everything I have heard, including "Gold," has been solid.

It can definitely fill the rotation and help create a good turn up moment between you and your friends. I like the change in pace between his verses and the chorus.
