Nu Jerzey Devil & Stack$ - From The Block To The Yacht

Contributed by M. Burmy

Listen to More: Street, Dirty South, Westcoast, Collaborations

Nu Jerzey Devil and Stack$ grew up with opposite backgrounds (Devil grew up in a lower-class family, Stack$ in an upper-class family) and both have gone in opposite directions with their music.  While Jerzey has major plans for ‘08, the assistance of Twista, Weezy, Swizzy and Brook Hogan hasn’t helped Stack$ debut, Crazee and Confuzed, land on store shelves.  Knowing who’s on the come-up, the Miami reppa’ has joined forces with the Black Wall Street DJ for the mixtape From the Block to the Yacht.  On the album-titled single, Devil and Stacks go in-depth about how they’re products of their environment.  Accompanied by Devil’s street production, Block to the Yacht will hopefully kill two birds with one stone and help both men accomplish their musical goals.

That actually sounds like Hulk Hogan on the intro...Anyway, I like NJ Devil and his mixtapes with the A-team and Joe Buddens; but I don't really think he can rap like that. Stacks is pretty wack and they just sound like some suburban dudes trying to rap like they are from the city...Granted many of the best rappers came from the suburbs, but these dudes sound like they just fakin the funk with no passion for the hood in their voices...Oh well.

Hey everyone: Nu Jerzey Devil is rapping about the hood & the block, Stack$ is rapping about the luxurious yachts...Just to make it clear. This is definitely something I'd play regularly in my headset.
