Novel - Easy To Love 2.0
Artist: Novel
Producer: Novel & Tony Reyes
Album: Unreleased
Label: Unsigned
If I had to describe Novel‘s innovative yet familiar brand of soul in three words, “Easy to Love” would be just about right. The ATL Rennaissance musician’s latest effort, version 2.0 of a jam never released Stateside, is no exception to that rule. Here, a silky beat co-produced by the artist and Tony Reyes sets the mood as Novel engages in some romantic back-and-forth with guest vocalist Stacie Orrico. While this joint isn’t attached to any larger project, fans find find plenty more quality material on the artist’s acclaimed Grant Me Serenity mixtape, out now for free download.

How can you go wrong with a record from Novel, it's always real and hits deep to the soul. Yet at 55 seconds the song could have had a more creative change up that would've gave it a lot more success if the guitar was soloed, instead of going with a typical songwriting approach during that period of the song. But at the end of the day, its still good music, but people want something newer now days, not just a song about loving someone. It's in typical rotation.

I heard it a first time and thought it was just alright, then I thought about it and not every Novel track I listen to is gonna be the bomb like they have been. So I listened to it again, pretending it was some dip shit like sisqo singing it and thought it was pretty cool. It's not Novel at his best but compared to most of the shit they call RnB these days, it still is better than most.
As for Stacie Orrico, I thought she was hot when I was in high school. Jus thought I'd let everyone know... |
