No Good People - No Good
Artist: No Good People
Producer: Mark Ronson
Album: The Greatest Thing Ever LP
Label: Intelligent Music
The fifteenth entry in our exclusive freestyle series comes courtesy of No Good People, the East Coast foursome who brought us Where You’re From back in March of ‘08. On the brand new, previously-unreleased No Good freestyle, Stress, Dr. Sean Strange, Raida, and O-Doub spit over Mark Ronson‘s beat from Amy Winehouse‘s You Know I’m No Good. With debut LP The Greatest Thing Ever on the horizon, NGP are currently preparing to release their latest single to radio. In addition, the group are working on a brand new mixtape, which will drop sometime in the next month.

Since Amy isn't doing anything productive w/ her life these days, I'm happy to hear the NGP fam re-use her semi-classic Ronson production. Great wordplay.
Thanks to the fellas... |

this is some diff ish. something new... and its very good... i like this feel, the original with winehouse wasn't great but the flow of the song was VERY good and deserves a make over. Props to NGP for the idea... keep up the good work!

Wow, dope freestyle!
Using Amy's "I'm no good" for a group called NGP was a smart idea and they did a great job riding the classy beat, which made it almost more enjoyable than Amy's version! |
