If you’re familiar with 702 rep Nique, then you already have a heads up on a sleeping industry. I can’t front, I had to wipe the cold out my eye when this track landed in my inbox. Listening to some of his DJBooth Freestyle, and the Booth-approved first single, Boom Bap, off his upcoming mixtape X.XIII, there’s no doubt that if given the right platform and backing, he could make as much noise as any of these popular up-and-comers with monster co-signs, and while this second single, So Many Girls, is as commercial as anything I’ve heard from him, almost bordering on generic, he doesn’t sacrifice lyrical prowess for pop appeal; he somehow manages to accomplish both, in the vein of a B.o.B. With Mr. Music laying down a hook that’s beyond catchy, and a beat from Trixx that screams “Radio Ready!” one could guess that with a little push, this could be the record that brings him to the masses. Let’s hope that when X.XIII drops Oct. 13 (duh) the world will wake up and support this Sin City kid who’s poison with a pen.

I'm glad Nique is back. He almost had a foot in the door a while back, then he backed off. This feature and his last have my hopes high for his future.
Speaking of dudes finally getting recognition, Nique should do a song with King Mez. |

I think everyone here knows I'm a huge Nique supporter, but I'd be lying if I said I was digging this as much as his more lyrically driven work.
Still, we live in a hit driven world, and I can't blame Nique for proving to said world that he's a versatile emcee who has the potential to kill a mic and the charts. Respect.

Just like his fellow label mate Marion Write, Nique always comes through with spectacular rhymes and consistency. The track itself took a different route than I expected when I pressed play, but I must say, I'm impressed.
Hook was the highlight for me and the production was just as good. Nique got another banger going for him. |

Nice hook & feel. Beat has a cool pop feel. I like it. The only thing is the rap vocals sound like a number of other people. Lupe type sound. Other than that its cool.
