If you were to ask a random sampling of Booth regulars, “Who’s the next on the West?” it’s a good bet that nine out of 10 would immediately respond, “Nipsey Hussle.”  Though there are plenty of worthy Left Coast up-and-comers to choose from, the South Central native’s unique blend of classic Cali style and new-school swagger reads like a recipe for breakout success—in other words, he’s just Gotta Make It.  Sent to the Booth as a rough mix four months ago and recently passed along in mastered form, this mixtape cut was originally considered as a single off Hussle’s forthcoming debut album, and it shows; as Hussle delivers characteristically hard-nosed verses, Scram Jones serves up a laid-back beat brimming with classic West Coast appeal, and the memorable hook comes complete with the chilled-out vocal stylings of not one but two R&B guest artists: frequent Hussle collaborator June Summers is joined here by up-and-coming singer/rapper Tasleema.  Easily one of the Slauson Boy’s most crowd-pleasing features to date, GMI can be found on Hussle’s Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 3 mixtape, set to drop this summer.

When we were sent the unmastered, rough cut in February I knew this would eventually end up in the Booth when it was ready. Well, yesterday we were sent the "ready" version. Hussle and this Scram Jones beat induce head nodding. Call your chiropractor now.

Love the West Coast vibe on here and Nipsey Hussle brings some hot lyrics. The hook is smooth and both artists sound in harmony on the chorus. Nipsey is definitely the future for the West!

The chorus is pretty weak on here to me. Sounds like a Bad Boy track back in 1995. Nipsey is Nice on here though. His flow is smooth and gutter at the same time. The Chorus just sounds forced for some reason.

This is hot!!
Sounds like something that came out in the 90's which was the best decade for west coast music to date!!
Nipsey kills this track and the hook sounds HOT!!

I know this drum rift from a few tracks. Can't think of what they are, but this is solid. Nipsey is one for the future of my city. If you @onna make it you @otta take it. Truer words never spoken.

I guess im that 1 out of 10 that disagree that Nipsey will be the next to blow up from the west (my money's on Bishop Lamont).

The track is fair solid. The rhymes are tight (which is to be expected), while the production sounds like something made in the 90's.

It isnt something id put in my rotation, but its still reasonable.

Production is hot but I'm not sure about them. Vocals are so and so, his flow is good. I'd put it in rotation but I'm not impressed
