Nipsey Hussle‘s been a familiar face in the Booth for quite a while now, but those who still don’t know what he’s all about would do well to check out his newly-released official remix of Hussle in the House, which finds producer Detroit Red segueing from the Kris Kross-sampling street single into a revamp of previously-featured mixtape cut All Money In.  For those who have been following Hussle, it will come as no surprise that fellow West Coast emcee and frequent collaborator Jay Rock is along for the ride, kicking things off with a riff on Nipsey’s original “crazy motherf*cker”opening lines.  This time around, though, things aren’t strictly West Coast, as evidenced by Brooklynite Maino‘s appearance midway through.  Hussle himself steps into the spotlight on the back end, spitting a new verse over the amped-up All Money In redux.  Watch for debut LP South Central State of Mind this summer, and stay tuned to the Booth for exclusive coverage of Game‘s L.A.X. tour, which features Hussle and Jay Rock as openers.

The original is a certified West Coast banger, that in another day and age would have been very popular. The focus of the industry nowadays is, unfortunately, not so much on the West Coast (up and comers.)

I have to say that I enjoyed the original much better, but this still bang. Neither Maino nor Jay Rock can match the vibe and intensity that Nipsey brings on the original. He just has a different sort of voice and flow that works better wit that bangin production. Dont get me wrong, they did aight, I'd just rather hear Nipsey flow by himself (or maybe throw Snoop or the Game on there wit him.) Don't know how I feel about the switchin up of the production and entire vibe at the end. Aight, but doesnt come close to the original imo.

Typical West Coast song I like the production has a nice bump to it. They all bring some solid verses..too bad the focus isnt on typical west coast song nowadays. This is still pretty good!

I agree with Juanito - the original was better. However, I am a BIG FAN of Jay Rock and enjoyed hearing him over this bangin' production work from Detroit Red. Maino got a real nice placement on here, but I would have preferred another WC artist.

Production was good, but none of these guys really caught my attention with their verses. I much prefer the original. In rotation, though I dunno if ill play this all that often (if at all)

Really liked the original. The remix wasn't as good, but still worthy of rotation status. Solid overall.

Ha Ha this is the first I've listened to either version of this song. No they didn't go and lay this beat on a track. Decent right now but I'd forget about it in a few months.

lmao, cause inside out is wiggedy wiggedy wiggedy wack! i think the change up in the middle was too drastic, kinda like they took two killer songs, jammed them together and got one not so good song. still, it's pretty interesting, so i'll throw it in the rotation
