The thing about educated rappers is that, no matter what they spit, they’ll sound like they’ve done their homework. Such is the case with Slauson representer, Nipsey Hussle. With an equal amount of work ethic and swag, the 22-year-old crafts an underdog anthem entitled All Money In. Off of his forthcoming Bullets Ain’t Got No Name (Vol. 2) mixtape, the ‘you-ain’t-like-me’ track featuring R&B crooner June Summers showcases the youngin’s gritty-yet-smooth flow. With the help of Bang Out Productions’ melodic street symphony, the record blends a ‘70s feel with the thump that only the West can cook up.
The BOP work on the beat is really mellow, nice laid back feel. The feature work from June Summers is a nice compliment, and it doesn't take over the track. I know someone is going to say "Yo, The Game woulda murdered this sh*t." LOL. Nipsey has released some real solid records and they all have been of the mixtape variety. Hopefully he has some extra special jams in the tank for the '09 debut!
I was about to stop the player, thinking that this wouldn't be my type of song, but it's actually good I must say! Production is cool, good beat and great flow by him! The part I like most is the hook, both music and melody...it's in rotation!
