Whenever my roommate gets stood up by her boyfriend, she’ll come to me crying and devouring ice cream like she hasn’t eaten for days—usually, an occasional “Yeah, that sucks,” or “That’s terrible!” will be enough to placate her so that I can get back to playing Fallout 3 on the Xbox.  While some deal with their troubles by crying and moaning for hours on end, others simply take it in stride. Take Nicole and Natalie Albino of Nina Sky, for example—on Beautiful People, a song off their forthcoming Starting Today LP (due out in October), the duo proclaim that they won’t let petty matters like male flakiness faze them. Over a trance-informed beat by The Stereotypes, the twins lay down a catchy hook that will have you humming along and feeling a bit of pity for the fool that stood them up in the first place—or, on second thought, maybe not; considering they’re partying with the beautiful people otherwise known as the DJBooth.net readership, that poor schmuck is probably the farthest thing from their minds.

The ladies do their part, but I am going to tip my cap to the behind-the-scenes collaborators. The Stereotypes offer up some synthy-futuristic production that will work great at the club and Lil' Eddie wrote a real catchy record that plenty of women will sing-along to. Not on my personal playlist, but as a DJ I would spin this again and again.

This could be a big hit on the radio. I wish it woulda kept slow I didn't really like the fast change up with the techno sample.

This song is really catchy, and Ill second Z on saying that alot of women will sing along to riding around in the car, and must I say it that these 2 are utterly gorgeous, come on guys, not like you wouldnt wanna say it either lol. I love the production on this, even though it sounds very similar to something I can get off the tip of my tongue.

The smooth hook rounds out the track and the girls puts together a good song dedicated to relationship woes over a club friendly melody .... Rotation.

Reminds me of Ne-Yo's Closer, the way it builds from a ballad sound into a dance beat thanks to bouncy synths and a little four on the floor.

Solid dance production and vocals that I can hear chicks singing already.

I take the Closer reference back. The synth line melody is dead on Heaven by DJ Sammy.

A little too close?

it is Heaven. didnt even notice that but NC you are correct. sounds like that is the thing to do for hip hop and rnb now days is to cop a beat and melody from a techno song. see wiz kalifah, flo rida, etc

At first it was odd how fast it sped up, but as the song went it definently flowed for me. Diggin it. One thing i can say for sure is "Gates of mind". Look it up if you like the beat
