Those who tuned in for NIKO IS’ previous features, Steffi Graf and Smoking Jacket, know the Brazilian-born, Florida-based spitter is more interested in enjoying life’s finer things than in busting shots, but don’t get it twisted—the man does have his dark side. Don’t take it from me, though: the artist’s latest feature vividly depicts what can happen when he flies off the handle. While the Ryen Towers-produced FIFI is fairly light in tone (I mean, it is named after an incontinent poodle), director Christopher Andrew Smith takes the record in an unexpectedly harrowing direction in his grisly official visuals. This joint, along with with the aforementioned song releases and many more quality jams, can be found on DJBooth-hosted street album Chill Cosby, available here for free streaming and download.

The song is enjoyable, especially within the context of NIKO's larger project, but the visual approach completely caught me off guard. I never saw that hostage situation coming.

Good Mic-Work by NIKO IS and the beat by Ryen Towers has a good groove.
