2010 has definitely been good to Nicki Minaj. Love it it or hate it, she’s been a ubiquitous presence that has forced the world to take notice, racking up countless song features, magazine spreads, music videos and a Grammy nod just one week after her much anticipated debut Pink Friday dropped. Her latest (previously leaked) single Moment 4 Life featuring Drake is triumphant and bold, with T-Minus contributing riveting production that aids the listener in visualizing such an epic endeavor. It’s refreshing to be reminded that Nicki CAN carry a song by herself - comparing herself to David slaying Goliath with a rock was dope - but that being said, Drake’s contribution adds absolutely nothing, disrupting the sincerity of the emotion she displays (sorry Drizzy, I just don’t think it worked out for you this time). And to top it all off, Nicki can also carry a tune, which you’ll hear when you get to the hook. Moment 4 Life hit radio today, so it goes without saying that Ms. Minaj’s ubiquitous presence will be invading even more of your audio space in the days to come.

While Stephanie V, one of our wonderful new writers, thinks that Drake 's contributions are weak sauce and that the record isn't anything overly special, I believe "Moment 4 Life" has the potential - again, the potential - to be Nicki's highest charting/selling record to date. DJ Z put it perfectly. Regardless of how well Drake and Nicki deliver, both artists DOMINATE the radio right now. People are going to want to hear such a powerful duo. If I'm listenin' to the radio and I hear the host say Nicki feat. Drake I'm crankin' that shi*t full blast! Oh and props for T-Minus for the dope-tastic beat. This is going straight to the Ipod.

When I saw this song on the Pink Friday tracklisting, I was excited and, of course, it fell below expectations. The production is smooth and Nicki & Drake do all right, but something doesn't click to make the track complete.

My thoughts on this track in comparison to the rest of the album. Not the best track and not the worst track. Somewhere right in the middle is where this belongs. I think the chorus is a little annoying, and both spit some pretty decent verses. The production is the best part, which is why I'm gave it a 3.5/5

Drakes RUINED the song for me. I would have loved another verse by nicki, this production is amazing and if nicki spit another good verse I think the song would be taken more seriously

This is TOUGH right here. Nicki is finally starting to spit Just-Right. The production is real nice. I like the beat a bunch. Nicki's chorus is cool. Drake did his thing as always. I wonder if we will ever get tired of these two? Only time will tell... For now, I'm livin' in the moment just like them! BANGER STATUS!

1 thing that is always going the wrong way with hip-hop fans, is that as soon as they hear someone talk about their life, no matter how corny it sounds, they want to put it on the pedestal. Maybe it's because they are given nothing but money-bragging-songs constantly? i duuno. the beggining is so crony it aint even funny. "Clap for the heavyweight champ.....me/But I couldnt do it all alone....we" another display of superior lyricism. I guess 1 star is too harsh for it, but 2 stars say "ok", and "ok" is more like 3 stars.

Why is this song on here now?? This song has been out for about a month.... Just sayin....
Anyway... This is a really great record from Nicki. Im such a HUGE fan of Nicki. I love her work and how she does it. She is all about quality. And this record shows that. I love everything in this. And having Drake in this only makes in better. The production from T-Minus is perfect. I cant help but rate this a classic. |

Oh this songs does something to me finally a track where I am not getting a million different personalities and intonations. Drake gives me a throw away verse which doesn't add but also doesn't subtract from the track as a whole. the song lifts you up and keeps you there which could later translate to radio spins this song is on the ipod mos def

i never gave niki the time of day before all i have to say is, MAD FLOW some ridiculous verses then Drake comes in and fils this lovley fully carbd sandwich and the filling is the chorus. Song of the week for sure!!I will deffo look out for more from niki m. I dont rate lightly but this song has banger status for sure.(second listen)

Nicki is a female fab. Great guest, bad lead. Beat is a recycled "A Star Born", Also, what tune is she carrying? Auto all the way. After my dislike of a song, I'm not dumb enough not to know this is another hit in her belt.
