If you steer your browser to Nicki Minaj‘s MySpace page, the first thing you’ll see is a picture of the Young Money signee flying through the air in a (very revealing) Wonder Woman outfit. Why is she dressed as Wonder Woman? Well, her bio provides a convoluted, kind of bizarre explanation, but I’ll put it this way: she’s completely bonkers. Of course, that’s far from a problem when you’ve got the backing of Lil Wayne (aka “Mr. Out-of-his-mind”), who joins the femcee on her first Booth feature, I Get Crazy. Interestingly, Minaj nearly manages to out-crazy her boss, spitting two agile verses brimming with scatterbrained wordplay; in the end, though, Weezy edges her out with the shouted boast that he’s so fly he eats birdsh*t (Am I hearing this correctly?) Complete with a sparse beat by Ron Browz and a few of Wayne’s trademark meandering guitar riffs, this cut is a unique one; if you find Minaj’s weirdness intriguing (I certainly do), you can hear plenty more on her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape, which dropped today.

@richard: I don't know if that was a trick to check who reads you blurbs :p (that are pretty cool actually), but he doesn't say he eats birdsh*t, instead "I'm fly, now eat my birdsh*t".
Production is not rich enough to make it a banger. But both Nicki and Lil Wayne had good delivery. She should work on her rapping voice though, it may get annoying. |

Yea Browz: STICK 2 DA BOARDS!!! This is what you are in the music biz for, the beat is hott. She is pretty crazy, which has worked for plenty of emcees throughout the years. I liked her vibe on this track, which is sayin a lot cuz it takes a lot for me to get into a female rapper's flow. Lil Wayne comes much more intense on this that I've heard lately, maybe he realized he needed to turn the crazy on next 2 this chick. Haha, we'll see what else comes from her and YM

This song is different, but I wasn't feeling it too much. The hook was too repetitive and her verses were only OK. Wayne was tight and the production had energy. Overall it was just OK.

I don't know where I stand on her skills, but she killed this. She and Wayne mesh really well together on the track and they are complemented rather nicely by the fine board work of Mr. Browz.
Like I said yesterday (with "Simple"), he should stick to what he does best.

You guys are crazy if you think this is Nicki Minaj's written lyrics...Of COURSE WAYNE is Writing for her! That's why all of you like her flow all of a sudden. She sounds annoying on this track. The beat is all over the place and overall this is a forgettable track...Weezy is just OK on here too.

This reminds me of M.I.A. except from a bit closer to my neck of da woodz. I have very little doubt that Wayne didn't either (A.) Write this or (B.) Was heavily influential to the overall writing of everything on this track but as another said Ron Browz need to sticking to producing. No More "Arab Money" and similar sounding hooks.
It's a 3.5 but I'll round upwards for its slight touch of uniqueness. |

Her flow is good to be that of a female rapper and the club beat is very energetic. I'm feelin the electric guitar part and Weezy's verse was hot, but the music totally lacks. I'm hearing only beat, where's the music?! In rotation but it's not the best I've heard so far
