Is there anything that feels better than vibing out to a dope record by a first-time featuree? Well, OK—I can think of one or two things that I’d rate higher. Regardless, Dirty Southern hip-hop heads in search of a pick-me-up need look no further than I Feel Good, the inaugural leak off Nick Pratt‘s forthcoming, Booth-sponsored street album (an exclusive world premiere!). Brandon Lee mans the mixing boards on this flossed-out selection, layering catchy synth accents over a chopped vocal sample as the Fort Worth, Tx. rhymesayer gives us the lowdown on just how fresh and fly he’s feeling. After the headliner’s said his piece, Tallahassee-repping guest emcee Muzik Jones Drew grabs the mic to explain what it is that sets him apart from the competition in a larger-than-life closing 16: “I’m a big fish, eatin’ good / y’all don’t see food.” Has this swagger-drenched cut left your interest piqued? Nick's team submitted his material earlier this year, but it wasn't DJBooth-ready (as we say). Clearly, he worked at his craft - this is a major step up from our first listen. He sounds more confident and there is a real bounce to his flow. It also helps that the mix/master sound good and the production suits his vocal tone and style.

This really bumps right here. I like the beat by Brandon Lee. This had my head rocking back and forth all the way through. Nick had lots of swag on this joint. This is a BANGER! Catchy chorus.
