Talk about playing against type; though previous features left the question of whether The Niceguys are in fact nice guys (and whether, by extension, they’re destined to finish last), this newly-released single finds the Booth-acclaimed crew seemingly hell-bent on proving their stage name wrong. Taking a page from Entourage‘s abrasive movie agent, Ari Gold, emcee Easy Yves Saint lets his inner douchebag shine. Over crewmate Free‘s overdriven, percussion-heavy assault of an instrumental, the freestyle series alumnus drops rhymes sure to remind guys of that one total jerk you secretly envied in high school (well, unless you were that one jerk): “Datin’ all the diva cheerleaders / sellin X pills to the teachers…” Joining Yves on the back end is… Yves again; stepping into the role of alter ego Chevy Lauren, he bounces back for a Queens-inspired closing 16, complete with fake (but impressive) patois. the best parts were Ari's clips. Terrible beat choice. I could hardly even understand the second verse

C'mon now... a 1? I'd like to think that we don't post 1-rating songs, but smouse is entitled to his/her opinion as a member of our site.
The production is not the easiest on the ears, but I like the concept and the execution is full of energy - I could understand the vocals, but I could see how some folks might not (better computer speakers might help!)

I can see how the second verse would be incomprehensible, the emcee has a caribbean accent and rhymes in his native tongue.
But all that aside, the beat was energetic and I like the premise of the song...why? Beacuse Ari Gold is my favourite character in Entourage. |

This beat just sounds like noise. I hear the potential for a good song (not a great one), but this beat has to go. It sounds like my little brother decided to try drumming, so he went out to the garage and started banging the symbols really hard. Not pleasant.
