The 77th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Nero, the NYC up-and-comer introduced to readers via TreaZon‘s Explosion (Remix). On his brand new, previously-unreleased Kinda Like A Big Deal freestyle, the currently unsigned emcee flows over a DJ DJ Khalil & Chin Injeti-produced instrumental originally featured on the Clipse‘s single of the same name. Nero is currently working on a new project entitled Nero Reinvents the Rubik’s Cube, due out soon; in the meantime, fans can check out Alive & Vibrant: Relive the Moment (Special Edition), released June 21st and available now.
Our series will be going on hiatus for two weeks following Friday’s premiere of exclusive freestyle #79; watch for #80 to premiere at the start of September. F*ck, I cannot believe we are 77 freestyles into this series. Anywho... Nero has been on my radar for sometime, so I was thrilled when he accepted our invite to do this freestyle. Dope beat selection and a real enjoyable flow.
Sidenote: Our series will be going on hiatus for two weeks following Friday’s premiere of exclusive freestyle #79.

This was pretty good. The homey Nero gets it in. "Relive The Moment" was really my first real listening experience for him. I enjoyed it.

No idea why I haven't downloaded his "Alive & Vibrant: Relive the Moment (Special Edition)" yet but I guess that's gonna be my next move ... 3.5 and I would've mos def rounded-up but the rating is kinda locked on Rotation.

Not so bad, nice flow and lyrics but his voice sounds tired and bored. Just a little more engertic and it would of been better.
