I’m willing to bet that everyone among us has, at one point or another, become exhausted with the daily grind and wished they were somewhere Far Away From Here (wherever ‘here’ may be). If not… well, either you’re sponging off your parents or you’ve managed to find work as a supermodel’s oil man. Lucky you. In any case, up-and-coming emcees are in no way immune to the stresses of workaday life, as evidenced by this unreleased cut from Nero, the up-and-comer last heard on Booth-exclusive freestyle Kinda Like a Big Deal. Over Woody‘s ambient, dreamy synth instrumental, the Harlem native assures listeners that, though the pressure has overwhelmed him in the past, he’s back and ready to work harder and smarter than ever before: “I speak less and accomplish more / My glass ceiling is a polished floor.” This track isn’t set for inclusion on any forthcoming full-length, but Nero does have a new project “coming soon” – keep it locked to DJBooth.net for further details!

the beats cool and i was really into it in the end, until he started saying random stuff. rhyming is average, the hook wasn't great but it was OK. im not impressed.

Production is the star here.
Nero seemed almost bored when spitting them less than average rhymes. Rotation strictly for the dreamy,spacey,whatever you wanna call it, production. |

Man, I know that if I was in a different mood, or high, I'd be liking this a lot more, but I just couldn't connect with it. Still, I can hear what Nero was going for and I have to respect that.

this is a side of nero i've never heard before, really surprised me with this one and as I told 'em personally my only criticism to this track is that his laid back prescence on the mic is TOO laid back we need that emotion from you my dude but shit is dope! keep doin ur thing my dude ....nero's not only a great friend of mine but also a great talent i've grown to admire I see great things for him in the future if he keeps this up
