Previously signed to Jazze Pha‘s Sho’nuff Records, Atlanta R&B quartet Nephu is currently riding the independent train. The group’s new single, I Should Know U, features Mack, Shaun, Armand, and GA singing about a certain female they’re attracted to, hoping to bring on to the dance floor, and then finally back to their house. It’s easy to tell they’re incredibly gifted vocalists, but their true gift can be found in the writing credits. Top it all off with an energy-filled beat by Midnight Black (best known for his work with Young Jeezy), and it’s a wrap! Look for more clinics in proper song assembly when their debut album, On The Edge, drops in ‘08.
This is the hottest song I heard today so far. I like the beat...the lyrics and the overall way it was put together. It is well done...For a second there, I thought this was that Bad-Boy group on making the band..they do sound like them...
