Since the September-release of his fourth studio album, Brass Knuckles, Mr. St. Lunatic, Nelly, has been trying to get things on the right track; this new version of One & Only, remixed with a little help from Polow Da Don, might do the trick. The emcee’s current radio single finds the highly successful rapper/entrepreneur using his signature sing-song flow to let his special lady know how much she means to him. At the risk of sounding PM Dawn-ish, Nelly adds a legitimate rap to the track, but its actually Polow’s grown-and-sexy production work that will make the ladies bring their two-step out on the dance floor. After that sexy don diva takes Nelly’s breath away, maybe she could leave a pen and a pad on the bedside table to encourage him to get back on the grind. This lovelorn cut may get a mixed reaction from the fellas, but to the girls, Nelly will always be their one and only.

Forget how they categorize this...Pop hip hop or whatever...so what....if it's good, it's good. This joint is straight, though it sounds like a beat I made for my new album. I feel that it's way too much room stimulation on Nelly's vocals. It makes them sounds "ashy" if you can understand that. It's a solid joint though. I'll throw it in rotation.

BDF44 - listen to the bassline. There is a not-so-noticeable change in the synthesized drums, and Polow offers up come background vocals under the beat and includes more fades in and out of the verses.

LOL - Nelly is trying a lot these days to make it work for him. With that said, best song on the album (which isn't saying a lot).

The original was produced by Polow so whats the point of this remix? i hear a lil change and there but nothing worth of it being called a "remix"...orignal was better, and unfortunatly it really is the best track on the album...i want the "country grammar" nelly back

-LUNATIC THATS WHAT HE IS, THAT WHAT HE SAID HE IS.... JUST TRYING TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, I BET HE IS, I BET HE IS.-old nelly, oh where have u gone? u got paid now look at the music u put out.... I'll just put in country grammer and nellyville and remember the good times.....maybe your shitty sales will make you hungry again but i doubt it. you need to drop these big name producers and all these guest stars and go back in the booth with murph lee, the tics and basement beats. cause ure almost pasted washed up DERRTY!!!

Man the beat is the same. Polow the Don did the original. Added a sound or two for this "Remix" it just seems like the beat is louder. NOt worth being called a remix. Majority of the public wouldnt even notice the change. I wouldnt have. still the same song, so still the same rating....3 stars.

I hear it now! Thanks Z! It's a slight difference but nothing I consider serious. Polow should have done a verse. Speaking of which, is he dropping a solo project?

Only reason I'm giving this two stars is because of the beat....everything else is trash...NEXT...

BDF44 - he won't be doing an album until Keri Hilson, i15 and Rich Boy all drop their new projects.

if that's the case hello 2010 for Polow. Track has a Lloyd feel, but it needs Lloyd on the track.

Would like to hear something from Nelly with a down and dirty beat to it but I guess this is ok for the ladies which is all he seems to make. Nelly reminds me of Ja Rule now.
