Released in 1983, one of Prince’s biggest hits recounted a one-night stand with a woman as sleek and fast as a Little Red Corvette. As it turns out, Nelly‘s also into comparing females to sports cars, but he prefers a slightly different type—something nice and classy, with a European flair. On new single Hey Porsche, the follow-up to last summer’s Marry Go Round, he spits game to one such specimen in hopes that she’ll let him take her for a test drive. Featuring an upbeat, pop-rock instrumental by DJ Frank E and entirely sung vocals, this auto-erotically themed jam is a clear bid for crossover appeal. Nelly is at the point in his career where doesn't really give a f**k what you think. He is going to make records that he thinks will hit at radio and sell sell sell. If not, he will scrap, hope you forget, and he'll do it again. This is quite similar to what Snoop Dogg is doing with his Lion alter-ego.

Reeelaaxxx, its not like this is Nelly's first pop song. Hes probably gonna make money off this so this is a smart move for him. More than half of us hip hop junkies pirate music and the mainstream, pop lovers will pay for this kinda stuff

I'm not sure if this is good enough to really impact the pop charts, it's pretty lame. It has a similar vibe to Flo Rida's Whistle, but not as nearly as catchy or iconic Throwaway track..Nelly hasn't put out something decent since like '05. |
