Last fall, Midwest favorite Nelly dropped his single, Wadsyaname, the first off his forthcoming album Brass Knuckles. Unfortunately for Nelly, the single crashed and burned at radio and the album was pushed back indefinitely. After taking time to hop back in the studio and redraft the album’s contents, Nelly has unleashed Party People. Produced by Usher’s new best friend, Polow da Don, this meant-for-the-club single features the singing… and rapping… of the Black Eyed Peas very sexy, Fergie. While an interchangeable chorus features un-Midwestern chopped n’ screwed vocals, the bassline will certainly favor Nelly’s reappearance in the club. Brass Knuckles will be released this June.
Uh... who approved of Fergie's pic again? Haha. This is just the first listen, but I think Fergie actually beat Nelly! Or maybe I'm just down with this song yet...
What planet are you two from? This is a BANGER! (will sound GREAT at the parties-not so good out of computer speakers). Will make up for the flop that was Wadsyaname fo'reel (pun intended)
This is absolutely a club floor track; definitely where a beat like this belongs. But as a Nelly track, it's fairly weak. I prefer Nelly tracks where the majority of his lines DON'T consist of asking "Where my party people at?". Better than Wadsyaname? I think it is, but not by much. I applaud Nelly for trying so many directions, but he needs to go back to what worked for him. On the other hand, Fergie was bangin' on this track. Especially where she started spitting and transitioned to soft sensual fergie; HOT!
Nelly's back with fresh waves, and a new tat.. this wong kinda sux.. the beat is hott tho, maybe a remix wit lil wayne will make it a banger..fergie's rap is WACK
At first I was disappointed... but then I turned the bass on my speakers up and I felt the song. Its one of those songs that doens't sound good on pc speakers... but sounds excellent with a bass-heavy system
Fergie's little rap is soooo bent mate! ew to that son, but Nelly does aight I guess, but he needs to go back to his 'country grammar' type songs, cos thats when he was respected a lot more. This beat ain't bad, and I really like his second sped up verse, it was sick. but the part where she slows the song down would really really ruin a dance in the club if unexpected LOL, imagine that, damnnn son that would suck!
Was that seriously Fergie rapping with the screwed voice? Geez I really wanted to give this a chance, but this song is GARBAGE! I won't even bob my head if I hear this song in the club, its annoying. Next!
This a club banger for sure. Nelly came strong with this...when i first read Nelly ft Fergie I thought it would be mainstream-commercial pop, I was actually surprised at how hard they came on this one. I'm always a Nelly fan, so Im gonna give this one props
Fergie's attempt to spit in this joint-WEAK! donjonjon said it- they say 'party ppl' way too much. & Londons Finest- imagine the crowd when Fergie slows it down...lol...wow..not good! But once again, the beat is hard, bass is sick, but the artists attempt to match their skills with the producer's...FAILED. I think both Nelly & Fergie sound like they are desperately trying real hard to be 'kool' in this song. And that's not a good look.
idk yet. It will probably get plenty of play in clubs as well as stations this spring... but its a typical Nelly song (the over worked chorus) SOOOOOOOOO Repetitive.
I like Derrty, Face it hes on of the SMARTEST mcs out there. I didnt say best, but smart he is. He makes hits and good music for different types of audiences. I like it, OK im getting off his nuts now.
wow what is nelly doin, lets get back 2 the basics, this doesnt sound like a nelly song, but the beat is a certified BANGER & by the way i actually like his first single wadasyname and suprise it wasnt a hit
wow boss dogg pretty much said everythin i was gonna say...wadasyname was a good song...ppl didnt give it a shot n dunno why...fergie should not be in this song...imma give it 4 stars for nelly and -1 for fergie cuz i hate her so much...do the math
Damn...If this is all he has left in him, then they should just keep this one on the shelf. I am not feeling this beat for Nelly. It's not a bad beat, but just not a good match for Nelly. I don't like the chorus at all. Fergie is good sometimes; but this just isn't my cup of tea. Both of them are much better than this.
this @*#$! is hott .. at the club i cud hear jam to this .. but it wud take a while to get into prolly got to hear a few more times.. but i think he shudda threw Ali up there .. and i think this song wudda been all straight .. well idea* for a (REMIX) in rotation ; potentail banger
I love nelly to death!! i appauld him for trying a new song and he killed no matter what yall say nelly iz da $@*! and ergie killed too.I am def in love with this song
I usta be a Nelly hater but over the years I've grown to tolorate his music and ultimatly respect him as a big player in this game. This song right here is live and full of energy. He kills it with the fast flow and fergie reps my city well with that screwed up sound. Polow Kill the track as usual! It's a hit!
This songs beat is insane! It sounds good. Nelly flows over it well not sure on fergie though. So I dont care if you guys like it or not. And when I read the review bashing Wadsyaname I mean thats a great song to It should of been a big radio hit. 4.5 stars
Again I love this. I know a lot of you people dislike it but I love songs with really good beats like this and the energy and speed of this track I like. And again Nelly kills this track with his flow and I love that Uhhh.. thing he does during the hook.
