The 123rd entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Nefew, the Swiss-American emcee/producer duo who recently earned reader approval for EP single Biko. On the brand new, previously-unreleased Less Music freestyle, rapper Polemikk flows over his and DJ/producer PA-Double‘s original boardwork. Nefew are currently working on their sophomore studio album, The AntiHero, set to hit stores sometime in 2010. In the meantime, fans can check out the duo’s recently-released Homesick EP, available now on iTunes.

Hey Z. Don't even mention how many more name drops you've gotten than me. I think we all know it's a landslide.
Anyway, on a completely personal note, I have to really give it up to Nefew for showing the Booth so much love. From now on every time anyone asks me why the Booth is better than any other site out there I'll just play them this. Nefew is exactly the kind of artist we go out of our way to support: talented, creative and always original.

Nathan, did you catch the - oh wait - never mind. You did.
Nefew gets major points for a) the original production work, b) the entire song concept, c) the amazing Booth tie-in, and d) the overall impact of the freestyle. More please.

One of my favorites in the Series. Absolutely loved the original beat, spacey synths with extra punchy drum hit, lyrical dexterity shown by Polemikk while shooting lyrical darts about the mediocrity in today’s hip-hop AND inclusion of DJBooth shout-outs were just extra icing on the cake.

4 sure the booth is where it is at... always come here to see where things are and catch things that others won't know for weeks if not longer.
This is just one of those, watch other sites will write something up in the new year. I am sure DJBooth is just fine with that. Good production, good flow, good beats... I can't find anything wrong here. |
