Ne-Yo likes his women like Joe Budden likes his label status: independent. In fact, the Def Jam crooner is so infatuated with all of the Miss Independents out there, that he joined up with fellow R&B star Jamie Foxx and labelmate Fabolous for Part 2 of his current single, appropriately titled She Got Her Own. The record, which is set for inclusion on Ne-Yo’s forthcoming (out next week) third studio album, Year of the Gentlemen, as a U.K. iTunes-only bonus track, finds all three featured artists explaining what it is that makes an independent lady so attractive. With Closer creeping towards the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and the original version of Miss Independent following suit, it is pretty easy to see why in addition to his favorite females, Ne-Yo too has got his own.
Pretty good, I wouldn't call it better than the original. Ne-Yo and Fab shine really well on this, Foxx is pretty good too. Year of the Gentleman is gonna be a really good album, can't wait.
Original may be better but maybe not? I dunno i am undecided but I know one thing, and that is that NeYo is bout to drop a bomb with this album. This sh*t fly........
Now you all should know, and if you don't you will now, that Jamie Foxx is one of my all time favorite singers, his voice is Sooooooo much better vocalized and i guess what you could call "tuned" better than any other singer out there in my opinion, he's incredible, no homo haha, i would love to find out if he plans to come out with another album in the future but i'm to tired to do research right now, so Z got any news on Jamie lately? but i like this version alot better than the Orig., Neyo's album is gonna have so many hits on it its gonna be unbelievable, but Fabo needs to get off this track.. he does not match this kinda song at all..
I've found Jamie Foxx to be very hit or miss on rnb track, but I'm glad to say that he was dead on point this track. Fab actually did a decent job on this track as well, I thought he would ruin the feel that you get after the first 30secs. Fab's flow worked suprisingly well. Smart track leading to his album release next week, I'm getting pretty excited about it!
The production/beat on this Track is CRAZY! It's also about time Jamie Foxx came back with something new! We need a new album from him! He sounds GREAT on this track! Ne-Yo straight murdered this song as well! This is a 5-star Joint right here for sure! They didn't even need Fabolous on here, but he is nice on R&B tracks, so he fits in well without killing the flow of things...
My goodness...who produced this! This is smooth and the sample is off the chains! I agree Kayleb 101. Jamie Foxx has been my favorite singer for the longest time...back when he used to smash it on the show. We definitely need a new album from him, because his last one was hot, but didn't get the recognition it needed. This is what that ill R&B is all about. This is more than 5 stars, hands down. I was going to Jamie smashed Ne-Yo, but Ne-Yo came equally ill! Homeboy is definitely on point. I agree that they need Fab on the track. I usually love Fab's guest verses, but he didn't bring his usual swagger on this to match the track. A more eclectic flow from him or another rapper would have served it better. But I won't let that take the song down in quality. This needs a Grammy. Real talk.
i found this song friday. i think im trying to hard to like it. but i think i do lol. no the song is hot, and unlike "love in this club" i actually like this part 2.

Wow. Jamie Foxx and Neyo on one track? I think that's too much for the ladies to handle haha. But naw, I love the whole concept of the "miss independent" thing, cos in a way it relates to my own girl. I think the beat could have been better, so im anticipating a remix.

I Loved It!! I Love Jamie, Ne-Yo, and fabolous. Jamie: Young independent yes she work hard but you can't tell by the way that she walk!! I love it when she say its cool I got it I got it! I got it! I got it! Ne-Yo: Theres nothing more sexy then a girl that want but dont need ME! Every thing she got she worked for it good life made for it she take pride in saying that she paid for it!! Fabolous: I need someone who ride for me not someone who ride for free she said boy I dont just ride she'll pull up on the side of me!!.. Thats all I have to say I LOVE IT
I do NOT like the remix. If it's not broke plese don't fix it. I LOVE the original version and thought because Jaime Foxx was on it that it would be HOTTT but it's NOT!!!!
