N.A.S.A. - Gifted, ft. Kanye West, Santogold, & Lykke Li
Artist: N.A.S.A.
Featuring: Kanye West , Santigold
Producer: Squeak E. Clean & DJ Zegon
Album: The Spirit of the Apollo
Label: Spectrophonic Sound
New to the Booth, international musical collective N.A.S.A. have undertaken a manned mission into the eardrums of hip-hopsters everywhere. New record Gifted off the group’s forthcoming debut LP, The Spirit of the Apollo (scheduled for release February 17th), makes it clear that N.A.S.A.‘s m.o. is to appeal to both rap fans and the hipster crowd by featuring the trendiest artists on both sides of the fence, in this case bringing Kanye West, Santogold, and Swedish indie artist Lykke Li together over a bass-bumping beat by founding members Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon. Though you can’t argue with the musical muscle brought to bear on this very danceable record, Gifted might have benefited from a little, well, space – clocking in at under three minutes, it feels a bit tightly packed. At the end of the day, it remains to be seen whether N.A.S.A.‘s eclecticism will blossom into something greater than the sum of its parts.

Beat was to loud to hear Kanyes verse. Beat was bouncy and I liked it. 3.5, In rotation.

Has a weird sound to it and I think the noises hurt the ears a lot. Really creative but so much different styles sound disorganized. Its iight

Heard this on Kanye's blog over the weekend, absolutely LOVED his verse. The production is pretty futuristic on here (kind of like the last song I just rated), but I could only imagine how this one would bump in the clubs and at a rave. It had pure fire through the speakers and really hits hard. The rest of the song has a really strong UK type of feel, like Kyle Minogue, but I can defnitely rock to this one. Banger!

Hey Kylie Minogues an Aussie not from the UK..lol, i thought the beat was sick as & Kanye verse is fire, but the rest of the artist on this dont do anything worth nothing imo. The beat itself is shore to make this song a club banger, but for me its only in rotation

Not my favorite track feat Mr.West. It has a creative edge to the tecnohop. Although this distorted phase we are in needs to end. Doesn't sound good. This is playable. It may grow on me. Hey when will we get that Kid Cudi Day N Night on here? That's my shit!

cb126405, I too heard this on Kanye's blog earlier. I thought his verse was off the chains. I thought the beat should have been a little more high quality but aside from that, the futuristic flavor is what's in right now!

This had the potential to be HUGE. It feels rushed, slopped together, and mismanaged. This CAN work, I hope that shows on the rest of their new album...

Great production, so energetic and futuristic. The best part of the song in my opinion is the hook, I like its melody. The verses are a lil annoying, but Kanye sounds good

This song is really hot right now, its blowin up in the blogosphere. Lykke Li is so hot right now and she does a good job on the hook. Santogold killed it, I'm looking forward to her new record, its gonna be epic.

This song has great potential but the execution is lacking in some spots. Maybe they'll fix it up a bit? But for now it's just aight.

I couldn't get away playing this at my shows but I would definately try and slip it in while no one was looking. Great bounce to it while still using hip-hop as a base.

This song is dope!! Kanye killed it with his verse, i just keep replaying it over and over! The song overall is catchy, and the futuristic sounds blend well together with the hip hop groove. Definitly gonna be bumping this one for a while :)
