There’s nothing like being in love to make you feel like you can accomplish anything. Except maybe a handful of Adderall, or a few lines of cocaine—neurochemically speaking, it’s pretty much the same difference. Regardless, it’s pretty damn dope while it lasts. Making its world premiere on our front page just in time for Valentine’s Day, the inaugural leak off Muzi‘s forthcoming digital album finds the A-Town so taken with a certain woman that the merest glimpse of her face leaves him feeling downright Superhuman. And she hasn’t even requited his love yet. Over producer/co-songwriter Shoeden1!‘s majestic synth boardwork, the singer pours out his heart to the woman in question, exulting in his new found feelings of strength and imagining just how powerful a pair they’d make if they were together. Will Muzi’s soulful entreaties hit their mark? Let’s hope so, because that comedown’s a b*tch. The artist’s Somnolence Vol. II LP has yet to receive a drop date, but those digging this lovestruck banger can still stream and download its reader-acclaimed precursor for free in The DJBooth.

Muzi and Shoden!1 have such a great musical chemistry between them. "Superhuman" has that easy replay-ability quality to it. Its not overpowering, making its mark with a more subdued, appropriate impact.

I really like the production and the chorus, it's very catchy. I wasn't a huge fan of the delivery of the verse though.

Muzi is such a great singer. The man captivated me with his first tape, so with that said I'm really looking forward to what he has in store on this next volume. He has such a calm vibe surrounding his music, I could honestly listen to it all day long.

I liked this song somewhat and I wouldn't mind listening to it if it came on the radio and there was nothing else on, but I don't think I'd be searching to play this back again. The beat is pretty smooth but its pretty forgettable. 2.5 out of 5

At first, I was not really into it, but as the track went on, I found myself more invested. Muzi's vocals are solid, but what really hooked me was the phenomenal production. I found myself thinking of Muzi as the compliment to the beat instead of the other way around.
