Such was the case with L.A. emcee MURS and his project Love & Rockets Vol. 1: The Transformation with producer Ski Beatz. Today, we have a brand new video for Epic Salutations, the opening track of Love & Rockets. Here MURS weaves punctuated rhymes laden with cosmic imagery over Ski’s spacy-sounding production. Not many emcees can get away with uttering phrases like “quasar in a bottle,” and for that MURS deserves all the props and the accompanying Hobostewd-directed visuals keep in line with MURS’ celestial-oriented wordplay. Between this video and MURS’ work as the founder of the Paid Dues Festival, museum curator, graphic novel creator and more there’s a lot going in the Cali emcee’s career - just try to keep up, because MURS is on the move!
