Freeway and Jake One, B. Dolan and Alias, Murs and 9th Wonder, I can’t help but feel like the age of the one producer, one rapper album is enjoying a bit of a renaissance. Continuing the same excellence they displayed on previous collabo effort Murray’s Revenge, west coast underground stalwart Murs and North Carolina producer extraordinaire 9th Wonder are preparing to release their new album Fornever, and to get the world - and the Booth - properly excited they’re unveiling the previously unreleased 3:16 pt.2 (which, I assume but can’t confirm, was originally recorded during the Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition sessions). In typical Murs fashion, the heavily dreaded emcee drops nearly three straight minutes of high-caliber flows while 9th delivers yet another soul-meets-boom-bap beat sure to leave aspiring beatmakers jealous. What, like you expected anything less from a duo like this? The producer/emcee renaissance will assuredly hit a high note when Fornever hits eardrums everywhere March 30.

ive seen this guys picture a million times but i never heard one of his songs anybody wanna put me on with some good songs of his? 9th wonder did ok with the beat its a sample which is kind of heard but the drums and snare is just simple, could have use some more fills...but its still smooth i like murs flow, i can def ride to this especially in the chi at night time with the building lights shinning down, but i don't believe this is extraordinary so small rotation...

I hope that Nathan is right, because the age of the one producer, one rapper album needs an all-out renaissance. MURS has always been on my radar as an emcee, but I've never been infatuated with his rhymes. He can spit, but he doesn't captivate.

However, speaking of captivating, lets talk about 9th Wonder. Dude is a musical genius. He never turns in a bad effort. Just good, great, or amazing. This checks in between good and great.

Not really feelin this too much. It does have a nice beat, but that's a sad excuse for a hook.

murs comes hard here. the beat has a nice melody to it, something different which i like. this is alright but that chick monologuing kinda ruins it- wouldve been banger, just rotation though- a nice effort though.

Exactly the type of high quality flow we've come to expect from Murs and 9th, although I can see why it never and won't find its way onto an album - it lacks that extra special vibe that really grabs you. Fornever's going to be nasty, I've got my calendar marked.

@DjKidd - Check out the songs "Badman", "After Hours", the first "3:16", "Dreadlocks", "The science", "making music", "The bay to la", "what do you know", and anything from FELT(Murs x Slug) or Living Legends(Murs, Aesop, Grouch, Eligh, ect...) Theres too much to type, but "Badman" is definitely my favorite.
MURS FOR PRESIDENT!

MURS and 9th Wonder together? And for an entire album? Nothing more needs to be said, I'm smiling.

Murs' bars don't match the quality of this beat, but that's more of a compliment to the board work of 9th Wonder. Z sums it up best. He can spit, but he doesn't quite captivate my ears.
