St. Lunatic Murphy Lee is set to follow the platinum-selling Murphy’s Law with his label-titled sophomore set, U C Me. Always thrown into the “sidekick rapper” discussion, Lee is looking to step out from the shadow of ‘Lou big dog Nelly once and for all. On his new single, Murph Derty, the charismatic MC displays the same stunt-on-the-haters mentality that we’ve heard on most of his previous buzz cuts. However, before you automatically click on the ‘1’ rating, check out the electric-guitar laced production from Derrty in-house producer Jason “Jay E” Epperson. Murphy recently promised that U C Me would be a Midwest classic; tune in later this year to find out if he follows through.
I really hope Murphy Lee comes harder with this album. I was really feelin his 1st CD and he killed it on the St Lunatics CD. As far as this track goes, this def should not be on his album. It's a really bad attempt at crunk-rock
Murphy Lee selling 1 million albums of his debut is probably one of the most shocking figures in the history of rap music. He must set his alarm to "Shake Ya Tail Feather"...
I personaly like murphy lee, I think he has a lot of potential as a rapper. I like the Jay E beat to this song also. I ve been hearing a lot about a new cd from this cat for like 2 years now so i think he has to come REAL HARD with it, or it could the last you hear about Murph Derrty.
Murphy Lee used to be one of favritz but what IS diz??? lyrics are average and so is the beat and that electric guitar sound in the background remindz me of my lil broz rock sh*t LOL
Damn! I didn't know his album Murphy's law went platinum! I don't even know how that happened. Let me start by saying that I actually like Murphy Lee and I like his swagger since like 2001 when he was on the videos with Nelly. He is the best one on his team for sure. This track is pretty corny though, and I don't think the guitar does anything to save it at all. I wouldn't ever play this song again...
Wow..are we sure that first album went platinum???...cant believe that....I was feeling Murph when Nelly first started popping and the St.Lunatics album was fire...but since then he's been as relevant as Memph Bleek..not sure he will ever pop and live up to his initial buzz
i aint hatin. the song was garbage but everybody has their shitty songs (even lil wayne for all his dickriders). Murph is a favorite but this will mess the album up.
There should be like a tsunami in hiphop were all the weakness gets washed away and only the real survives...a lot of these songs will not land on Z's site and the world would be a much better place(sorry I got caught up in MLK moment-my dream)
Anyway-this cat WACK! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEXT
