The 128th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Mudkids, the Indiana duo who earned reader acclaim for mixtape track Ride back in December ‘09. On their brand new, previously-unreleased Straight to the Booth freestyle (which arrived in our inbox a mere four hours after we sent out the invite – a DJBooth record!), emcee Rusty Redenbacher flows over original boardwork by production partner Elp-Mass. Mudkids are currently working on a new album entitled We Are Dynamic and People Like Us, set to drop “soon.”

No freestyle in our series has done a BETTER job of incorporating DJBooth.net into the final product. For that alone they netted 3 stars... plus the dope original production? Yup, they get the four-bagger.

Some of the best production we've ever heard on a djbooth freestyle (shouts to Elp), damn I'm loving this beat. And that doesn't take anything away from Rusty, who's got some great rhymes (I was laughing out loud at the Gucci Mane "brrrr" reference). Straight to the Booth indeed.

It went straight into my favorite freestyle entries. All elements combined, it has an insane amount of replay value. Loving those live-sounding drums. This seriously calls for a sequel! Full stars.

I get a lotta solid advice and good music from this site as a DJ and as an artist, having our songs on here has been great for MUDKIDS. (I'd rate this one, but I think that would be a bit much...however, if YOU liked 'Straight To The Booth' I'd like to invite you all to the Mudkids website, where I've just released an hour-long mixtape called 'Rusty Logs On'.
