Mobb Deep - Get It Forever

When two legends like Mobb Deep and Nas get together on a track I think we all know what to expect – swagged out club bangers about expensive watches. Or, alternately, the exact f**king opposite. Thankfully new release Get It Forever is exactly what hip-hop heads actually expect from a pairing like this, starting with Mobb member Havoc’s work behind the boards crafting a beat that’s both soaringly soulful and asphalt hard. From there it’s up to Havoc and Prodigy to do what they do best – spit some of those loaded clip, might just rob a square trademark flows that they’ve made their trademark for over a decade now. Throw in a stellar verse from Nas, who legitimately sounds like he’s back in top form lately, and you’ve got a joint that will live Forever in rap history. (Forever? And ever ever?) Unless they’ve got a posthumous cut with Biggie stashed away, Get It Forever is sure to be the standout track on Mobb’s upcoming Black Cocaine EP, fittingly slated to drop on Black Friday. (That’s November 25 for all of you who aren’t already lining up outside Best Buy.)

Havoc's beats are so sick. This one bumps something serious. Mobb Deep sounds great with the same gritty street $hit we wanna hear and Nas was like icing on the cake. BANGER!
