If you could only see my face when this record popped up in my inbox. Being an adamant fan of Mobb Deep and nearly crapping my pants when I met Alchemist at SXSW ‘10, I was virtually waiting at the prison with my “Prodigy is the Roughest” sign when the Queensbridge native was released in early March. Dog Sh*t featuring Nas, Mobb Deep’s first official single since Prodigy‘s emancipation, satisfies that need for rude, crypt-keeper, concrete rap music. Three years down didn’t take the edge off of Prodigy’s delivery as he reinstates his position as one of the East Coast’s original gangsta rappers while Havoc still flows like an infamous lyricist as his sound reflects his 1995 presentation: gutter. Adding hip-hop vet Nas to the Alchemist and Havoc-produced beat is only a plus to the nightmare-on-59th-Street sound that has bodied headphones for the past 15 years. While there is no set album date just yet from the duo, you can trust the Booth to stay connected to new music. In the meantime, fans can check out Love Y’all More, which Mobb Deep dropped a week after Prodigy was released from prison.

Welcome home, P. This is vintage Mobb Deep! Seriously, go listen to "The Infamous" and tell "Dog Shit" couldn't make that album? Plus, you cannot listen to this track and not rewind Nas verse at least twice haha. Props to Alchemist.

This is that CLASSIC Mobb Deep right here.

You know it's a classic if Z gives it 5 stars, I've never seen you give any song a classic rating before.

Mobb Deep has been around forever, and their veteran status is evident from this track, and it doesn’t sound like they have lost a step at all. All three verses add the gritty feel needed to compliment the hunting beat, and Nas is just the icing on the cake. This track is quality in every sense of the word.

A throw back to the gangsta rap area, super hot , simplistic and with a classical piano.

Only reason this got any play is due to the fact that NaS jumped on it. Track is garbage, straight loop over and over. Can you dumb down records anymore? Everybody has their shine, and bottom line is Mobb Deep lost it. I would never recommend this to anyone unless their name was Soulja Boy Tell 'Em or Gucci Mane because they all equally suck.

Mobb & Nasty Nas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Show em how it's done. It doesn't get a classic rating from me because while all rocked it Nas added that extra umph the track needed against such a laid back beat. If Mobb would've matched Nas on the energy it would get 1 more star.
