Mista Raja - Get Ready for Me
Producer: Sef Millz and D. Smitty
Album: Get Ready for Me EP
Label: Associ Industries
As Mista Raja prepares for his arrival on the mainstream scene, comparisons to Dangerous emcee Kardinal Offishall seem inevitable. On Get Ready For Me, the Grammy-nominated lyricist has proven that grit and persistence pay off. In hopes of drumming up hype for his forthcoming EP, Raja employs producers Sef Millz and D. Smitty to make this Akon-less track knock with pinpoint club accuracy. While Raja might lose points for simplicity and uninspired lyrics, the undeniable club-readiness of the single negates both of these flaws. Raja’s Get Ready for Me EP is set to drop October 28.

If you are a club DJ, you stop giving 2 sh*ts what sounds "generic" the second you have a full dance floor and people who are bobbing their heads. This will do that. Yes, it sounds like 17 other records you've heard the past few years. But can you get down to it in the club (because that the goal here, clearly)? Yes.

Something for the clubs, but Mista Raja did justice to this beat. So overall it's in rotation

I gotta say. I have a problem. Sometimes I hear auto tune hooks and I think they are great. Other times I hate. Am I a hypocrite because of this? I need help ya'll. I can't make up my mind if this is a good thing or bad. This time its wack as all hell. Generic and unnecessary. Mista seems cool. But that damn hook. Na man.

BDF44 if I could I would quote your entire comment...I'm feeling exactly as you! Although I'm not a voicebox fan and everyone here knows it, I sometimes appreciate hooks with the autotune...but don't worry, this one sucks! The production is good, Mista's flow isn't bad (it reminds me of Flo Rida In Low I don't know why) but the hook is totally lame. It ruined the song! In rotation anyway...well today I'm generous I keep on putting in rotation every song LOL
