It’s been more than a year since R&B singer Mishon brought us his first (and, to date, only) Booth feature, school dance-ready single Excuse Me Mama. Though the teenage up-and-comer’s freshman set is still a ways from release, it seems that his romantic life couldn’t be better – in fact, he and his girl are getting along so well that he’s ready to take the next big step: letting her “Rock My Chain.” Leaked to the ‘net this past spring, this new single finds the up-and-comer in top form, showcasing the same soulful vocal stylings that elicited a cavalcade of Chris Brown comparisons from Booth readers back in fall ‘08. Tied together with Hit Boy‘s tuneful boardwork, which builds from mellow bells and stomp-clap percussion to a climactic, string-backed chorus, this puppy-love anthem has all the makings of a smash. Mishon’s debut album, The Yearbook, was recently pushed back to a February 2, 2010 release date, but in the meantime fans can keep it locked to the front page for all the latest from this rising R&B star.

Mishon has the charisma, the swagger, and the production assistance to make it big. The only thing I am not sure about is those pipes. Are they holding him back or is he just playing it cool? Unleash those high notes!
Overall, though, this should really hit big with the teen audience. Get ready for Mishon to rule 106 & Park (if its still on TV next year).

106 will cater to Mishon even more than they already are, Z. Vocals are pretty good, not the best, but he has the excellent work on the boards to complement him and master a song to make it work. Fun, high school lyrics make for a solid career ahead.

I loved Just A Kiss, and this is just as good, if not better! One thing I like about this one is that I can actually tell that its not Chris Brown singing it.

Im a fan of Mishon's work, 'Wait For You Forever' is currently one of my favorite r&b tracks. I really hope the Chris Brown comparisons dont hold him down.
This song is solid, production is good & Mishon has some good vocals. I wouldnt be surprised if this is a hit on urban radio. |

I've heard some of his stuff, and I think this boy definitely has some talent and plenty of support from proven hit makers to help him rock the charts, plus he got the moves to match the tunes.
This isn't his best record but there’s not much doubt that it’s going to wind up in heavy rotation of pre-teen audience. |

sounds great, the crazy thing is this kid is only 16, i heard a michael jackson remake and tender love, his voice is amazing. he should be proud to be compared to usher, chris and mike. i looked at his first video and compared it to there's he smashed them, don't know who his label is but they need to step it up
