If you’re still not sure why MIMS was so hot in early ‘07, take heed: since releasing his slightly less successful follow-up single, Like This, the Manhattan MC has been hard at work on his sophomore album, tentatively titled Guilt. Taking advantage of the late Biggie‘s sizable following (set to get even bigger when Notorious hits theaters on Janaury 16), MIMS becomes the latest rapper to sample him in a chorus (This Far, Richer Than Richie, Untouchable), using a line from Gimme The Loot as the hook for his newest street single, Bread and Butter. Other than the interpolation, DJ Absolut‘s production is minimal, leaving the spotlight on MIMS’ all-over-the-place rhyme scheme. So, does the sophomore do the legend’s sample justice? WOW:/ this is not what I like hearing from MIMS...I like his THIS IS WHY IM HOT or LIKE THIS type track. This joint didn't have a good beat @ all- wayy different than what I'm used to hearing from him. It's ok but I'll never listen to it again. I'm having trouble just rating a 2...I really want to give it a 1...ahhh here i go...2.

this joint is a killer... mims surprised me on this one... heard dj suss one spin on the radio the other night... more of an nyc type song than a down south joint... think hes doin it because ny kind of lost respect for him for doin down south type joints

The production is incredible cheap. The song was aimed for 2009 and dudes still doing that uncreative chopped & screwed stuff?? The sample is annoying. Wack. That's all I am sayin.
