Mike Schpitz - Death to My InnerMe's [Premiere]
Artist: Mike Schpitz
Producer: Dr. Dre and Mike Batson
Album: Mike Murder
Label: The Prize Package
Back with another leak off of his new, cleverly titled project Mike Murder, Mike Schpitz returns back to the Booth with Superman-like lyrical prowess. Resurrecting 50 Cent’s menacing Enemies instrumental, Mike flips the script, using Dr. Dre’s production to create Death to My InnerMe’s: a lyrical vanquishing of some of the emcee’s personal issues. Mike is razor sharp on this one as he slices, dices, and rips apart the beat for four straight minutes. While it seems like a long time to hear someone talk about themselves, there are few who can do it with the wit of Schpitz. Weaving ‘90s pop culture references with the occasional jab at your girlfriend, the clever emcee properly silences his critics and proves why we chose to sponsor Mike Murder. He even goes as far to say that he “held back” on most of his previous released material. If Inner-Me’s is Mike’s version of holding back, then when he lets loose of Mike Murder on May 26, the apocalypse might just be upon us.

Last time around (Mike Is Like) Schpitz showed many of our readers that you cannot judge a book by its cover when it comes to Booth feature artists. Now that he has a bandwagon that is a bit more full, he intends to keep everyone listening.
Dope freestyle (punchlines for days) and another worthy addition to his forthcoming Booth-sponsored tape. |

Beat is annoying on this. Beat sounds louder than his verses. His wordplay is ok, but not liking his flow.

I liked Schpitz, but that instrument (for some reason its name isn't coming to me)is annoying and seemed a little too loud.

Ehhh, I haven't gotten so bored during a song in a while. The annoying beat was louder than Mike's vocals, and his delivery is extremely monotonous. Mic presence is non-existence. I expect the lyrics would be alright if I could tune in between the aforementioned faults.

This joint goes hard, but the beat is overshadowing his voice. All in all famo is going in on this beat.

Just by looking at this guy's picture alone, you would think what the fcuk is this guy thinking trying to make a rap career? Once you press play though, you will be convinced that Mike has pure lyrical talent. His flow on this was solid, but I was not a fan of the production. Really got annoying after awhile. Mostly because of the strings going off in the background. On top of that, Mike was hard to hear in some instances of the song, so that in itself is a real downfall. On a lighter note, he spit three minutes of fire. Solid effort.

Got Dre behind him on this one but I find the beat to be quite annoying. It doesn't go with Mike and doesn't compliment him. Put a better beat and Mike might hit this one out of the park. I'm really annoyed though. He's a sick rapper but I can't get past the production, I expect better Dre.

The strings are a bit loud, but listening to what's going on behind it, Mike Schpitz lets everyone know what he's capable of. He exudes talent..keep going at it!

Pretty seamless Bars, and as Z points out Schpitz has punchlines for days. The beat speaks for itself.

Mike Schpitz has his own style of rapping and I like it. The production is kind of questionable though, maybe because it is so repetitive. However, the annoying production can't take away the dope punchlines he had on here!

What you know about wordplay son! Haha He goes in on this I like it. I for one, like how the song was mixed. It's a dope instrumental and I don't think it overshadows his verses.

Anything potent he has to say is not heard due to the distracting production. Artists and producers need to find a balance in the volume with respect to the mic and the production itself. If one sounds louder than the other it does hold up well, both deserve eqaul attention and respect.

Mike continues to get better and better. This is an automatic banger and people seriously need to stop judging the book by it's cover. Remember the last time we judged a white boy... he became one of the greatest Hip Hop artists of all time. Now support great Hip Hop. #MikeMurder

"Tearin up freaks backs like the Passion of Christ"
Not even remotely appropriate. I laughed out loud on that one. Plus repeated Saved By the Bell references? There aren't many artists that I make sure I listen to every word, but Schpitz is one of them. Dopeness. |

First off lyrical insane, but the downfall... he has the same tone throughout the whole track, the beat too repetitive, kinda annoying, I couldn't listen to this again, personally I'd rather listen to this guy accapella!

Thought this was a better approach to a freestyle than trying to rap over a classic (I.E. "Nas freestyle"). Really feeling the vibe on this one. Nicely done!

There's not a duff line here, though, as with his last feature, my problem is - such a large helping of stuff in the same vein tends to get a bit enervating after a while, and could have been enjoyed better by flow dipping in and out. Plus that simple repeating loop (for fcukin cuatro minutos) makes for a more offensive listen.
All that being said, he's definitely on my radar. |

Mike Schpitz...Definitely was not what I was expecting. I like it though. Its nice to hear good white rappers that don't sound like Eminem. Enjoyed the track even though it kinda went on, and on. I see good things in the future. With a name like Mike Schpitz, I'd definitley say he will continue to suprise.
