It’s been a long road, but the wait is finally over. Feelin’ Out This World finds Dreams rejoining forces with MUSIC2DREAM2 singer Christina Fisher (his collaborator on single We Goin’ Worldwide) for some of his trademark meditations on the artistic grind. Citystarz’ ebbing and flowing synth backdrop has a downright hypnotic vibe, but try not to get completely lost in the music; Dreams’ allusive lyrical insights are not to be missed (“I manage my stamina well / so they Can’t Touch This like Stanley Burrell” is easily my favorite couplet of the day). It all adds up to a rock-solid album cut that’ll have devotees and new fans alike racing to download their free copy of Dreamer’s Poetry. So, what are you waiting for?

I'm going to be listening to this one for a LONG time. I love that sprinkle of electronica over the soft, futuristic melody. Finally, Dreamer's Poetry (awesome title, by the way) is finally here!

this is right there w/My Bus Ride Home and Git Live as my 3 fav Dreams songs. this would be a good single choice. this ish is serious. 4.5

Agree with Z, I don't know a lot of rappers that could rap some serious rhymes over a club beat. Mike always come with some fire and Christina's hook was a good match over the electro style beat.

I have to hand it to Dreams, he's showing that he's got some real versatility. I'm not 100% sold on this production, a little too Euro house for my tastes, but that's hardly enough to stop me from feeling the track.

With his debut album currently being 'downloading', anticipation is growing, and the results appear even more promising with this new instant hit. Continuing with the theme of persistence and determination of becoming a well known emcee, Mike delivers a track in banging style. Combining his slick wordplay with a fair balance of consciousness with street relativity and a touch of braggadocio mixed in every now and then - making it clear that staying true to yourself is the only real definition of real. This is that balance I crave in hip hop music. There is that hidden conscious, but nothing too heavy to take away from the fun. Balance is the key. |

To follow up what Z said.. This is what makes Mike great. He can kill a beat like this with a positive message. That shows an artist truly cares about what he's doing and how he influences people. Dreams just kepp impressing me (excuse me while I go get that album now).

the beat is a little too house-leaning for me, but i do get that that's what's poppin' right now in production style so i get it. concept, while positive, has been done a few times over as well. I gotta say though lyrically Dreams brings it and i like the combo of style and substance exhibited here...a very enjoyable track

I do alot of club venues where this is type of hip hop songs the crowd digs. Not really feelin the rap but the track is ok

Mike Dreams for President...ok, ok, maybe not that far. But a dope track regardless...hard to find young artists that have so much to say and make it sound easy like Mike does. Keep the heat coming.

Very well rounded track.
If you listen to the lyrical content, then you know that a lot of thought and work was put into this craft. The production and engineering is quality material. Definitely a classic track that will be replayed daily. |

I'm really diggin' this song still. Favourite Dreams track out of all. I love the beat, flow in the verses, and that chorus vocal is just sick. I liked the Sosa punchine too in the bridge.
