Based on the title of his latest effort, you might pigeonhole Miguel as another typical male, more interested in a mindless Quickie than candlelit dinners and deep conversation. And you’d be totally… correct. How can he help it? You’re just so damn fine. (Disclaimer: I have no clue what you look like, or whether Miguel would be interested—you’ll just have to Tweet him some unsolicited nude photos and find out for yourself. [On second thought, don’t do that.]) Uh, where was I? Right—single number three off the Jive crooner’s debut set finds somewhat un-aptly named beatsmith Fisticuffs crafting a slow-rolling, lightly reggae-accented guitar-percussion instrumental to back his soulfully earnest sexual propositions. Asking the shawty in question “Don’t be offended babe by what I say,” the singer offers himself up for a “quick fix,” no strings attached—he asks only that she take care not to damage the merchandise (bite marks, scratches and hickeys are out of the question). Regardless of whether you’re prepared to take Miguel up on his invitation, you can find plenty more smooth tunes on the artist’s All I Want Is You LP, released last November and out now in stores and online.

I was at first skeptical of this being a single, but I now realize how big of a summer anthem this can be. It's got that island vibe to it. Back in December when I bought the album, "Quickie" was one of my least favorites. However, I can now say that after over 40 plays on my iPod, I am hooked. Kudos to his success thus far, and this is sure to follow.

Honestly, 12-14 months ago I didn't know we'd be on single number 3 off Miguel's debut album. I knew he was more than a one and done artist, but his success this far has surprised me. Records like this should keep his hot streak alive...

The CD in general I love all the way through and each track is different yet the same... Sounds crazy I know but hard to explain .... I think Miguel speaks/sings to a certain type of "Eclectric" minded people ... and it's either you get it or you don't.. Fly & Sexy..The track "Quickie", I love for it's honesty and confidence..

He kept real with the lyrics on this one, and i am gonna laugh at the amount of 16-24 yr old boys and girls are going to lip syncing and listening to this one...kind of reminds me of genuwine back in the 90s
