When you’re in the midst of a romantic dry spell, attractive members of the opposite sex can come to seem so distant and unattainable that it makes you hate them just a little bit—and want them all the more. Of course, a gentleman as suave and dapper as Miguel wouldn’t know anything about that, would he? Evidently he does. The latest single off the RCA crooner’s 2010 debut (co-written with Mac Robinson and Brian Warfield) finds him rolling solo dolo, cursing the beautiful women who call to mind memories of the romantic bliss that lies just outside his grasp: “Girls Like You remind me that I’m lonely.” Quickie producer Fisticuffs reprises his role behind the boards, crafting a catchy blend of stop-start percussion and atmospheric synth chords to back the singer as he pines for someone to occupy the other side of his bed—and the other side of the Connect 4 board. Sure to elicit plenty of offers from potential bedmates and game partners (that is, if the artist hasn’t sorted that out already), Girls Like You is just one of many R&B bangers to be found on Miguel’s All I Want Is You LP, available now from record stores and online retailers.

Dope single selection, but RCA needs to push the button on this one a little harder. Miguel was totally snubbed for a Grammy nomination on Wednesday, the least they could do is make it 4-for-4 in single selections and show everyone they have a lifer on their hands.

Miguel is killin' the game lately, and this is another single of his that proves it.

This is from his album and the album overall was very nice work. This is a cool track. I skip this one sometimes and play it sometimes. The ladies love it though...

Great song! Second best off the album after "Sure Thing" imo. Hope this grabs him at least another Top 10.
Migeul defo has reason to feel annoyed after being snubbed by the Grammy's, "Sure Thing" was imo 1 of the best R&B records of this year. It's still in the Billboard R&B Top 20... 10 months after released! |

ok, but his first singles were better....I think Miguel at using his vocal cords singing the R&B and keeping the lyricism simple

Obvious single choice, but he should probably start promoting his next album after this because it seems like this is stalling at radio (but it might be because of Christmas music).
