Midwest City - Re-Up ft. Swizz Beatz
Artist: Midwest City
Featuring: Swizz Beatz
Producer: Swizz Beatz
Album: Authentic R&B
Label: Spencow/Universal Motown
Named after their Oklahoma hometown, R&B group Midwest City is ready to make their mark on the music scene and bring back Authentic R&B. While Solomon, Tone, Shamale, and Shay typically do slow jams, listen to any current R&B album and you’ll notice that the first track is often an upbeat club banger. For Midwest City, that jam could be the dancefloor-ready Re-Up, with the quartet enlisting super-producer/occasional hype man Swizz Beatz to get the finest women to “shake it one time, shake it two times.” While the group provides strong vocals as usual, Swizzy’s production truly makes the Re-Up stand out.

Beat is pretty good, the cowbell thing sounds kinda neat at first; gets a little tiresome later on. These guys are only decent on slow jams, fast stuff like this makes them sound weak. 08 must be the year of the rnb boy bands. I don't know if it was just me, but the lead singer sounded rather bad.

This is okay. The can sing OK. Boy bands are boring to me. I thought we finished that era in the late 90s. This beat from Swizz would be okay minus the synth.

PSA from the Boss: When leaving feedback with your rating, try to muster intelligent thoughts, left in the form of actual sentences. Record labels take your feedback and use it to move forward with a record. Stupid and/or rude commenting will no longer be tolerated. Thank you for your time.

I start by saying I generally like r&b boy bands, I think they are catchy...this isn't bad, a club tune I guess! I'll take it in consideration for a second listen.
Ps: is his voice real or is it a lil computerised? I can't understand lol |

I liked this track, the guys sings well, and Swizzy put together a good beat. Quality track as far as club-mixed-with-r&b, although not necessarily my cup of joe.
Z do you guys actually have that much interaction with the labels? I mean i guess with all the interviews I coulda seen that. |

This is a lot different then what I thought it was gonna be. It's a good different though. I agree with reishm4...I wish swizzy was on it more esp. around 2:11...perfect spot for him to spit something...
