Last we heard from Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, the Rockford, Illinois native had released her second gospel album, Do You Know. Three years later, she is breaking new ground and challenging herself to carry over fans to a forthcoming commercial R&B venture, Unexpected. On her first single off the new release, We Break The Dawn, Williams shares a thing or two about staying out all night and getting to church late on Sunday morning. On the song’s remix, the singer calls on newcomer Flo Rida to show some concerned non-clubbers how it’s done, over Atlanta producer DJ Montay’s ivory-tickling, hard-thumping beat. “We ain’t go-ing nowhere/ till we good and read-y!” sings a new Williams. On August 12, we’ll find out if that’s true.
This song is Wayyy better than the original in my opinion, Flo Rida really kicked off this song! I can't find a bad part about this song, and i noticed the voicebox thrown in there to.
I'm not really feeling this track at all right here. I think Flo Rida has the WORST flow in all of Florida! I think the beat is old-sounding and Michelle is just an Average singer...
Blaze, you are my guy... but clearly you need some rest. Montay KILLS this beat (he is on the rise), Flo Rida does EXACTLY what is called for on a remix like this, and Michelle is no BEYONCE, but rolls with the beat as best she vocally could. Play it in the clubs... 'n get back to me.
I prefer the original personally, but this remix did EXACTLY what it set out to do. The original has much more of an international dance floor feel, this one was definitely mixed up to give it a hiphop beat. No comment on flo rida's value to this track.
When I saw Break The Dawn Remix I immediately thought of something really horrible...but well I got wrong! I preferred the original version (I like it very much and I still listen to it) but this edit ain't bad at all! The beat fits Michelle's flow and Flo Rida isn't so terrible here ;)
The original version was good and this does just what it was supposed to do: a REmix! I’m surprised you didn’t say this was a REAL remix Patty, considering they actually changed the beat… Aren’t you supposed to be some kind of remixes authority?! :p
Plies is better then Florida(flo- rida) no doubt but this is a club track i anit a fan of nither tho i play florida because he got to good songs that get lot of radio making the audience want to hear the song more because its a popular track other then that florida is wack i dont respect the name flo rida either because thats just liek me saying i am a rapper and i call me self new-jersey better yet at-lanta lol wack!!!!
