Mic Terror may rep the Chi, but he imports all his herb from the West Coast. Previously heard contributing guest rhymes to Calliko‘s Flickin (among numerous other featured jams), the Midwestern rhymesayer makes his first foray into the solo spotlight with this braggadocious cut, the inaugural leak off his next studio album. Here, Mo N’ Velli‘s stripped-down, fingersnap-laced percussion rhythms back Terror as he enlightens listeners regarding his preferences in weed (Cali strains only) and women (He don’t discriminate). In between discussing those two ‘w’s, he finds time to voice his contempt for his competition in the game: “I’m breakin’ up weed on your mixtape… is this supposed to be you, or is this Drake?The Fresh Prince of Darkness is scheduled to hit record stores and online retailers June 6. In the meantime, of course, readers can stay tuned for the latest song releases off the forthcoming set.
