Last we heard from M.i, the Austin repper had just learned one of life’s toughest lessons: sometimes you’ve gotta Take a Loss in order to reign victorious in the end. Fresh off that humbling experience, however singer/emcee/beatsmith is right back on his grind – his latest effort (a Booth-exclusive world premiere!) finds him moving full speed ahead, not planning on slowing down “Until I Get On.” In addition to the headliner’s own slow-burning synth/piano boardwork, driven rhymes and ambitious chorus vocals, this officially remixed version of the joint features the guest stylings of a Panhandle State Booth fave (and freestyle series contributor). Laws opens up the cut, lacing the beat with some real talk regarding the importance of music in his life: ”It dawned on me, that I’m nothing without this pen…” Judging by the level of dedication – not to mention versatility – M.i showcases here, fans won’t want to miss the freshness in store on his forthcoming Prep Time LP, which will be released on April 7 in our mixtapes section.

M.i. is batting 100% over the last two weeks (see "Take a Loss"). The song is a real head-nodder, with some very real (and moving) production. Nice feature accompaniment selection from Laws, too. Not crazy about the chorus vocal effects, though.

Love the piano instrumentals, they really add heart to the track. M.i and Laws both spit form the heart, and their emotion and passion come through on the track. M.i has shown he has what it takes to be both a producer and rapper. I'm looking forward to Prep Time

I can give the production a 4, but I can see why some folks go unsigned... Doesn't make me wanna hear more songs from him.

Oh hell yeah, i absolutely love M.i's alternative sound, Time, I know, and Rearview were all classics in my opinion off the jack johnson sessions. Not to mention i still bump a few 4:57 tracks in my car so happy about this collab, and it sounds good!

Reflective track, this song has all the potential in the world to get the proper play it deserves. It has a strong hook and even stronger verses matched with quality production. Good work.
