Though Method Man & Redman have stayed in the public eye by appearing together on a laundry list of other artists’ projects, it’s been just under a decade since the duo released their first, and thus far only studio album, Blackout! Listeners will be happy to hear, however, that the LP’s sequel is finally in the works, and, if lead single A-Yo is any indication, the sophomore release will find the two none the worse for wear. Hopping in their truck, rolling up the windows and sparking a few spliffs, Meth & Red tackle the classic lyrical themes of weed, cash, cars, and wack emcees, but don’t neglect to touch on a few more timely topics—the latter notably references “swagger,” MySpace, and Apple computers in the course of four short bars. A sung hook by Toronto native Saukrates, and a sampled, funk guitar beat by an unknown producer round out this street-oriented, lyrically confident cut. Blackout 2 is currently set to arrive sometime this summer—if you haven’t stocked up on candles and batteries, better do so soon.

Ah my prayers are finally answered. Both Meth and Red are great on their own, but when they get together watch out! Blackout was one of my favorite albums for a long time and if this is any indication of the second album I am really looking forward to it. Great chemistry, great production, and great rhymes. Now all they need to do is release How High 2

Excited to hear a new album wit them together. This track was tight, and their flows were definitely nicer than the production. The production is actually pretty cool tho. The hook is real corny, but besides that its real catchy and cool. Cant wait to hear more...

NJ and NY is in DA BUILDING!!! The beat on here is FRESH! And I didn't know how much I missed these guys until I heard them rapping together! They should do every track together...It is a perfect contrast! Chorus is SICK AS HELL! Method comes on and kills it just as much as RED! SICK CLASSIC $HIT!

A Yo! Red and Meth are too talented and charismatic to be away for this long. Two of my favorites growing up with out question. I gotta admit this beat makes me thing they never left. Absolute heat! (BDF is back by the way. I dig the Resident DJ label, feels good.) saukrates sounds good to man reminds me of my Dogg Nate.

As we all know method can not drop a hot solo album. But Meth + Red = eargasms galore. This is the classic sound I would expect from them, not quite a classic however.

Finally a new red and meth single.These guys are hilarious but musically I was a little disappointed with this productions cause its a little monotonous, its not unique. But they are spittin pretty well and Saukrates surprised me with a nice chorus to make me play it a few more times
