Memphis Bleek is back with more talk of money, gangbanging, and police incompetence on the fifth leaked cut from his upcoming album, The Process. On Let It Off, Bleek finally uses a street-sounding beat to match his flow. However, his verse is outshined by Roc brother Uncle Murda. Ironic, considering Bleek was the Roc’s first signee and Murda just got signed this year. Either way, Let It Off is a carbon copy of Bleek’s earlier raps. Will Bleek further re-establish the dominance of Roc-A-Fella? Find out when The Process hits stores sometime in ‘08.
DJBooth.net will be featuring a Memphis Bleek interview next week. E-mail me if you have any questions you'd like me to ask Bleek! (PS. This joint is hot)
First off, let me start by saying I am/used to be a huge Memphis Bleek Fan. I always stick by him, but as of late, these tracks from him hasn't been doing it for me. I miss Bleek from the Dynasty days and before! I hope he does better than this. I am not really feeling the beat; and the flow is just average bleek, not hungry bleek. Oh well...we'll just have to wait and see.
I agree with Blaze, HUGE fan of the old Bleek, but lately he ain't been rippin it the same. This one ain't too bad, I think I prefer his faster flow like on 'Alright'.
