Already having distinguished herself as an actress (you may recognize her from her roles in Weeds and Better Off Dead), screenwriter, author and playwright Meital Dohan recently added another bullet point to her resumé: pop starlet. On Stateside debut single On Ya, the Israel-born and bred Renaissance artist showcases her radio-ready vocal stylings as she engages in some flirtatious interplay with Island-pop phenom Sean Kingston. Brass Knuckles backs the collaborators with some appropriately body-moving club boardwork. I agree with Blaze and Caveman that its not my "type" of song, but that doesn't mean that its not appealing to the right audience. Her international roots, in addition to Kingston's, come through on this island-tinged, party-ready record.
