Since Chingy’s new single, Fly Like Me, has been slow to receive spins, and Nelly’s new album Brass Knuckles will remain shelved until after the holidays, it is clear the ‘Lou needs some new blood. Here to lend a hand is Midwest-native, M.C (and no he didn’t forget to give himself a rap name). Reppin’ the North side of St. Louis, the young artist brings an energetic swagger on the new record, I’m Cool, produced by the Heart Break Kid. Featured on the recently-released mixtape, Welcome To Rich City, M.C has a bounce in his step that is reminiscent of both Chingy and Nelly when both artists first jumped into the national spotlight. M.C is clearly cool; is he also long-lasting?
The production is right on the spot. The use of the synthesizers sounds like the beat off Young Jeezy's "My Hood." Haha, "My paper stacks tall/But I'm flimsy like Yao Ming." This guy is by no means an outstanding lyricist but his punchlines are creative and unique. This guy is officially classified COOL.
He sounds like a one-hit wonder to me, but you can definitely tell where he is from by the delivery. It's OK...nothing to get all crazy over. Average lyrics; average beat; average score...
i lyke dis song and i think dat he will b successful. his album will slowly sale and reach its expectations. tha beat kinda sounds like young jeezy's my hood song
I've been watching M.C. come up and I have to say this his flow is getting tighter. I love growth and M.C. is a go-getter. Gotta love that! Keep you're eyes open. Don't let this brotha really get the deal he needs!
Itz aite but it not orriginal and he soundz like he just stayin in his comfort zone.. he could do alright if he stepped up and produced somthing with a fresher beat.. Until then dow he got alot of work to do if he wantz to deliver a track worth 4stars
