Damn. I wasn’t able to finish Lost last night, so I won’t be able to give you the five-star blurb filled with deep thoughts that I wanted to for this one (if only I had a steering wheel at the bottom of a well I could use to turn back time). However, exclamatory rock/hip-hop/etc. group ¡MAYDAY! is here to make the ending of an interesting series even better with their latest summer-ready title track, Stuck on an Island. Produced by MayDay’s own Plex, the group kicks a catchy and energetic beat to new heights with their witty lyricism and raw talent: “This ain’t no sock hop, so when the bombs drop, I’ll be like John Locke, I kick it nonstop.” If you wouldn’t mind being stranded on a desert island with !Mayday!’s music, be sure to keep a lookout for their summer tour dates, as well as their forthcoming Stuck on an Island album, due to crash land on September 7. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to figure out if I love or hate a girl named Kate.

I watched two episodes of LOST about six years ago and immediately gave up on the show. Too much thinking in the evening hours for me. Anywho, I'm a much bigger fan of MayDay then contrived ABC dramas, so it makes sense that we'd give record a feature slot at the Booth. I'm not a fan of the prolonged instrumental intro here, but I understand that its for dramatic build-up and climax-effect.

September is along way to wait for an album, but hopefully the next few months will be littered with new music.

RyanSx Tastemaker Total Ratings: 1222	Rating: RyanSx's Top Rated Songs The instruments mended together perfectly to form a unique beat that made up the majority of this song's success with me. Verses were nice; I like the first one the most. Hook was anything but impressive and is the main thing that makes this song no better than OK. Might be too harsh, but I expect better from MayDay. Solid track nonetheless.

Guest	Rating: I'm pretty excited about seeing these guys LIVE next month. I don't relate to this as much as others since I've never seen an episode of "Lost", but it's enjoyable.

That's one step above, "it was all a dream" in my book. But the enthusiasts seemed pleased with the finale, so I can't say too much. I like the musicianship of !MAYDAY! It's especially fresh in an industry dominated by digital effects. Well done

Like Z, I didn't watch Lost, so all the references are completely lost on me. Damnit. I seriously didn't mean the pun there.

Anyway, I was really digging this. Mayday comes with a fresh sound, it almost has a small ska element to me. If I got all the references I feel like I'd enjoy this a lot more, but as is I'll have this on repeat for at least a few more listens.
