It goes without saying that life has its ups, and its downs – and, in order to stay sane and productive, we each have to find and perfect our own methods of turning the latter into the former. For Miami crew ¡MAYDAY!, there’s no better way of keeping afloat through the Highs and Lows than by, well, getting high when you’re low. And when you’re high? Well, you get even higher. (Drugs are bad, kids.) On this unreleased joint, the Panhandle State natives hook up with a fellow weed-lover to celebrate the power of THC to make hard times bearable. Over bandmate Plex Luthor‘s bouncy, piano-guitar groove, Wrek, Bernbiz and We the Best/Def Jam repper Ace Hood, the latter of whom takes his guest opener as an opportunity to tell off those who’ve declared his career prematurely dead (as well as inviting women who’ve disrespected him to “kiss the kicks on me.”) Though this smoker-friendly joint isn’t attached to any project, ¡MAYDAY! fans who haven’t already picked up a copy should log into iTunes right this second and purchase their newly-released sophomore set, Stuck on an Island.

"Highs & Lows" is a real breezy, light, and enjoyable record. Some folks might find the hook the downfall of the song, but I think it works perfectly with the poppy production work. Anything ¡MAYDAY! works for me.

I have never seen a iMAYDAY! song that i didnt LOVE!! And this is another record that im just loving it so much.... They always make such great songs. The production is just killer from Plex Luthor. Im gonna be listening to this for a very long time.

If anyone could make an Ace Hood feature worthwhile, it would have to be ¡MAYDAY!. I caught these guys opening for Tech N9ne's Independent Grind Tour. I'm not sure I've ever seen an open act rip things the way they did. Big fan.

Mayday continues to impress me but I was surprised by how much I like Ace Hoods verse in this one. Dope beat too, I love how the piano loop changes throughout.

This is dope. ¡Mayday! always comes through. I like what Ace Hood did on here, he's been coming through w/ the heat lately, but I can't front...thinking of Ace Hood's usual style and Plexo's usual production I was expecting something hella hype...but still dope regardless!

Nice feel to this song. Like Ace's contribution on the front end as well. ¡MAYDAY!'s always consistent and has very rarely turned out a song that i didn't like.

I won't lie, I haven't exactly been impressed by Ace's work lately, but Mayday made me look at him in a whole new light. These guys are simply on another level - I could listen to this all day.

The funny thing is that Ace Hood is not a smoker but his verse concerning the Highs & Lows of life were so deep he came off as a smoker! LOL

I personally have faith in Ace Hood, and it seems MayDay does as well. He had a very good verse here and I did like the hook. Like you all said, MayDay is a talented bunch.

Not bad all, best rhymes I've ever heard from Ace Hood anyways. I don't listen to much of ¡MAYDAY! but their sound and selection of music is awesome. It's an aquired taste but it's a taste that like... Kinda like Marzipan, you love it or you think it tastes like shit...
