Last we heard from Mateo, the Krucial Noise singer had reworked Kanye‘s Power into an R&B cover as fresh as its concept was creative. On newly-leaked mixtape cut In Your Arms Tonight, the artist pulls off a similarly innovative transformation, using ‘80s rockers Cutting Crew’s (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight as a springboard for a heartbroken ballad of his own. Featuring the piano-led production of Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, this moody selection is just one of many quality cuts to be found on Mateo’s Love & Sadiums mixtape, released in March and available here for free download.

sweet sounding and fresh, he sounds very similar to a classic singer who I can't pinpoint right now.
Like this guy it's solid with its production and vocals for me. But I marked it down for the soft, predictable lyrics and candid hook. |
