Matchstik - Give Back ft. W. Phillips

If you’ve ever lit a Matchstik near a leaky furnace (disclaimer: don’t do this, ever), you’ve got a good idea of the explosive impact Surina’s Song had on the Booth back in December of ‘08.  Now, around five months after his reader-acclaimed debut, the Ft. Camble, Kentucky-born, Alabama-raised rapper is back in the best way possible: toting an exclusive world premiere (also premiering today: Jarren Benton‘s take on Chonky Fire, Bossasaurus’ remix of MURS’ Everything).  On this brand new cut, Stik reveals that his skills on the mic are second only to his loyalty to the streets—though he’s made it out of the hood through hard work and determination, he doesn’t neglect to Give Back to all his little homies.  The rapper’s magnanimous rhymes, combined with Cochise‘s exultant, midtempo instrumental and singer W.
