This past Saturday evening, Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z kicked off their two-month “Heart of the City” tour in Miami, Florida. Joining them at American Airlines Arena for opening night were Kanye West, Young Jeezy and The-Dream, as well as most of the R.O.C. roster. Using the tour as her main promotional tool through the end of April, Blige has released Stay Down as the next single off her recently released platinum-selling album, Growing Pains. The Bryan-Michael Cox-produced selection is a fitting choice as the LP’s third single, considering its theme is dedication and long-lasting support; both topics of discussion on the tour’s unofficial theme song, You’re Welcome. Look for Blige (along with Mr. Carter) in a city near you very soon.
Mary J is killing the game lately. She is like the only artist who's sales actually increase with every album. This track is good and B. Cox does his thing again on the production. This is a nice Radio Joint. I won't be bumping it like that tho.
I honestly think this is garbage! her flow is the same throughout the whole song, her voice doesnt ever change around. its like shes talking the whole song, boring!
BMC definitely snapped on the production. The song has potential for a hit. I won't say it's Mary's best, because I do agree that she didn't change up that much, but I was still digging it.
THIS IS MII FAVORITE ON GROWING PAINS AFTER "SHAKE DOWN" "FEEL LIKE A WOMAN" "TALK TO ME'ROSES" "IF YOU LOVE ME LIKE YOU SAY" "HURT AGAIN" "WHAT LOVE IS" AWWWW HELL I LOVE MARY "MARY I LOVE YOU" EVERYTHING SHE DOES IM ON IT... BIGGEST FAN!!! ANTI-PHSYCO. LOL
